Email and Microsoft 365 packages cover the selected mailbox or licence and reasonable basic administration. General computer support, device management, Windows maintenance, third-party software support and broader security management require an IT Support Plan or a separate quotation.

Email and Microsoft 365 questions, answered

Do I need Microsoft 365 to have a professional email address?
No. Essential Email gives you a business mailbox using your own domain without Microsoft 365. Advanced Email uses Microsoft Exchange. Complete Email adds the Microsoft 365 applications, OneDrive, Teams and SharePoint.
What is the difference between Essential and Advanced Email?
Essential uses IMAP and is intended for straightforward email. Advanced uses Microsoft Exchange and synchronises supported email, calendars, contacts and tasks. Advanced also supports shared calendars and delegated access.
Does Microsoft 365 include Word, Excel and Outlook?

The Complete package includes desktop, web and mobile versions of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Essential and Advanced do not include desktop Office application licences.
Can you move our existing email?
Yes, subject to an assessment of your current provider, accounts and available data. Straightforward migration can be quoted separately or included where expressly stated in your proposal.
Is setup included?

Basic setup may be included where stated in your proposal. This can include tenant setup, domain verification, DNS changes and straightforward mailbox configuration. Complex migration, historic data transfer, remedial work and identity work may be charged separately.
Is email included with website hosting?

No. Website hosting and business email are separate services. This gives you a clearer choice of email provider and prevents your website and email from relying on the same basic hosting mailbox system.
Is Microsoft 365 management included with IT Support?

Yes. Microsoft 365 management forms part of our wider IT Support Plans. The exact support, security and backup services depend on the selected plan.
Is Microsoft 365 backup included?

Microsoft’s service resilience is not the same as a separate point-in-time backup. Independent Microsoft 365 backup is available through an appropriate IT Support Plan or as a separately priced service.
Can we mix Microsoft 365 licences?

Yes we can mix Advanced and Complete Email packages, where technically and commercially appropriate. Each user must have the correct licence for the services they use. We cam not mix Essential Email with Advanced or Complete email.
Are the prices fixed?

Prices exclude VAT. Microsoft product names, features and supplier prices can change. New orders and renewals use the applicable price at the time, with material supplier changes handled under the relevant agreement.
